This privacy policy applies to this Guide — the website you are reading now — and to the small set of inline forms it presents. It does not extend to any third-party website linked from these pages, including the official Xcaret site, hotel websites, or tour operators we mention.

What this site collects

This site does not collect identifiable personal information by default. The only data the site sets on your device is the language preference you choose (stored in your browser, not on our servers) and a single cookie that records that you have seen the cookie notice on a previous visit.

• Language preference: stored in your browser localStorage under the key "xc_lang". Cleared when you clear your browser data.
• Cookie acknowledgement: stored in localStorage under the key "xc_cookie_ok". Cleared when you clear your browser data.
• Newsletter form data: if you opt in to the quarterly newsletter, the values you entered are stored in your browser session only and not transmitted to any backend server. We do not maintain a newsletter list.

What this site does not do

In line with our editorial mission, this site does not run any third-party advertising trackers, does not embed any third-party analytics that profile individual readers, and does not display any retargeting ads on follow-up visits. The site is server-static and only logs anonymous aggregate browser counts at the hosting layer.

Your rights
