Editorial mission

This site is a one-person editorial project built after a number of trips to Xcaret across different seasons.

We are not affiliated with Xcaret, with any hotel brand in the Riviera Maya, or with any tour operator running the park.

Independence and editorial standards

Every recommendation on this site is something I have personal experience with or have cross-checked with multiple repeat visitors.

Suggested itineraries and visit lengths are based on attendee reports, on-site observation, and follow-up correspondence.

What the guide covers

  • Underground rivers, swimming caves, and cenote etiquette
  • Mayan archaeological zones within the park
  • Evening cultural performance line-up and the dual-entry ticket model
  • Snorkeling in-park and on the boat to the outer reef
  • Family travel: stroller access, kids-under-free, and kid-friendly zones
  • Pacing the day, weather windows, and the practical differences between high season and shoulder season
